Singing estate agent leaves people in stitches with 'nuts' tour of £700k house

An estate agent's bizarre house tour video for a property they are selling for £700,000 has left people online in stitches after it was shared on social media and went viral.

The video, made to show off a five-bedroom detached house in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, features estate agent Claire Cossey singing a hilariously odd parody of Never Ending Story by Limahl, with the lyrics changed to describe the property.

In the clip that's been described as 'nuts', Claire can be seen twirling around in the hallway as she sings, walking past two bizarre mouse statues that stand on either side of the fireplace in the dining room, and showing off a bathroom which has a bathtub directly in the centre of the room.

The clip was filmed and uploaded to the Rightmove property listing when the house first went on sale in September last year, but after Claire - who is the owner and director of Just Knock estate agents alongside her business partner Tony Bailey - recently made a price change to the listing, people found the video and re-posted it on social media.

Speaking to The Mirror, Claire explained that she's been doing property parodies for several years - but has never had one blow up quite like this one.

The estate agent, who has also been a professional singer for 24 years, said: "I actually started doing them a couple of years ago. The reason this one has gone nuts is that I did a price reduction less than 48 hours ago - but I actually did the video about four months ago. I think someone has tweeted it or put it on Reddit, and it's gone nuts from there.

"I've been doing them for a few years and I absolutely love doing them, they're fun."

Claire insisted she doesn't do parodies for every house she sells, but she's had several requests from her clients asking if she'll make one for their home, as she insisted it often helps drive interest in the property.

She added: "I don't do it for every property, it's not always suitable. If it's somewhere where someone's passed away then I would never do it, divorce property you're not going to do it on, and then some people go 'It's lovely, but no thank you'.

"But the opposite also happens, so I get people going, 'Can you do it on my property?'. I can pretty much do it on every property, it's quite simple. It's just finding a song that suits, and that's the hardest bit."

The estate agent also explained that property in her local area can be tough to sell because of the noisy A5, but she insisted that the five-bedroom, three-bathroom house in Leighton Buzzard - dubbed the 'Never Ending Property' thanks to her video - boasts "triple glazing", so potential buyers won't be bothered by road noise.

Claire's video went viral after it was shared on Twitter by a user named @SarahDuggers, who said she was "genuinely impressed" with the estate agent's musical efforts.

Her tweet, which has over 906,000 views and more than 6,000 likes, has garnered huge support for Claire from commenters who just can't get enough of the wonderfully weird video.

One person said: "Am I wrong for enjoying that? She's got a great voice!"

While another added: "This is extraordinary."

And a third posted: "From this point on Rightmove should insist that everyone does a musical tour of their house when selling."

Claire was also adamant that the video is not a "gimmick" and that the house really is up for sale, and if her musical performance has persuaded you to book a viewing, you can check out the listing on Rightmove.
