Simu Liu, known for his role in 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,' has been making a name for himself not just on the big screen, but also as a talented host. With a growing hosting reel that includes gigs at the Time 100 gala, the Junos, 'Saturday Night Live,' and 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' Liu is now gearing up to take the reins of the People's Choice Awards.
According to Liu, the People's Choice Awards hold a unique position in the awards show landscape. Unlike other shows where industry professionals vote behind closed doors, the PCAs rely on fans to cast their votes online or through their phones. Liu describes the PCAs as celebratory and inclusive, focused on making people laugh while still maintaining a positive atmosphere. Though the show may feature jokes and playful remarks, Liu emphasizes that the goal is not to take anyone down or be offensive, but rather to bring joy to the viewers.
