It's set to be another scorcher today, and Merseysiders are preparing to make the most of the glorious sunshine.

But whether you're planning to soak up the rays in your back garden, or heading to the local park or down to the beach, the high temperatures and blazing sun are not good news for pets. In fact, the weather could pose a real danger to their health.

It's vital dog owners asses just how hot the weather is before heading out for a daily walk with their beloved pet, primarily in case the pavements and paths are too hot for your dog's paws.
