Chris “Simp” Lehr is Paris Gentle Mates’ top target ahead of the upcoming CDL season. The French organization has identified the United States player as their primary target, according to multiple sources.
Simp has long been regarded as one of the most impactful players in modern CDL history. He’s been a league champion multiple times, has won multiple MVPs, and his presence alone can potentially shift the league’s competitive balance.

After rebranding from LA Guerrillas M8 to Paris Gentle Mates in late 2025, Envoy, Ghosty, Neptune, and Sib were introduced to the team, followed by Mayhem and Cheek as coaching staff. At the time of writing, the org’s active roster includes Sib and JoeDeceives (signed from Toronto KOI mid-season), while Estreal has been declared a restricted free agent.
Simp can dominate and control key map areas, which would complement Gentle Mates’ existing roster versatility. Top teams like Atlanta FaZe and OpTic Texas are expected to make major changes to their rosters ahead of the new season.
If the French org can secure him, it would gain them a crucial early advantage, making it one of the most significant moves of the offseason. However, as of now, nothing is official, and Gentle Mates and Simp’s representatives have yet to confirm anything about the move.
