Simone Magill is expected to make her playing return for Northern Ireland next month a year after suffering a serious knee injury at UEFA Women’s Euro 2022.
The striker, who made her FA Women’s Super League return with Aston Villa last month, has not featured for her country since suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the opening Euros group game with Norway last July.
But the 28-year-old is in line to add to her 70 caps after she was named in the senior women’s squad for next month’s away friendlies against Scotland and Czechia (Czech Republic).
