It's safe to say that Vitor Pereira caused quite the scene with his Sky Sports News interview.
The 53-year-old went live on air to confirm his interest in the vacant managerial position at Everton and that he is not ruling himself out of the running despite the negative reaction to his rumoured fron-runner status.
A vast majority of supporters have voiced their concerns over his potential appointment, given his lack of Premier League experience and track record at previous employers.
Whether or not the Blues select Pereira as the figure to move the club forward remains to be seen, though Gabriel Agbonlahor believes the board should 'listen to the fans'.

"I have got a bit of sympathy for Everton fans," the ex-Aston Villa striker said on talkSPORT.
"Benitez was brought in against their will, they had no say in it. It was never going to work. Why don't the board listen to the fans for once?
"It might take pressure off them because if they don't listen to the fans now, give Pereira the job and he loses his first two games, it's going to be the same as it was at the end with Benitez. It will be a toxic atmosphere.
"You either go and get a Lampard or someone that the fans prefer or you keep Duncan Ferguson there.
"Keeping Ferguson until the end of the season will keep them up, probably on 42 or 43 points, and then at the end of the season you go and look for a replacement.
"Bringing in a manager that doesn't know the Premier League now is risking Everton being in a relegation battle.
"If Pereira lost his first three games, you could be talking about a Watford situation: sacking him before the end of the season."
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan offered an alternative argument.
The 53-year-old has questioned those who have made quick judgements of Pereira, claiming there would be just as many uncertainties over success if Frank Lampard were to take over.
Explaining how he believes supporters have misread the situation, Jordan claimed: "Their objection is steeped in emotivity. It's sentiment over fact.
"They don't know that Vitor Pereira is not a good manager. And they damn well don't know whether Frank Lampard is capable of achieving what Everton need.
"Frank Lampard has managed Chelsea, took them to fourth in the league when the previous season they were third, got them onto a run of games that looked decent, got fired and has done nothing since.
"He's never managed a team that's at the bottom of the league, he has never managed in real adversity. He has only managed in the comfort zone of having Derby, who were ambitious at the time, and being an elite footballer going into a very well-financed football club.
"He will be going in to a unique environment [at Everton], where the attitude towards the owners is extremely poor, with a group of players that are not good enough in certain respects.
"It is a really big risk on all fronts and Moshiri has got to own it, get out in front of it and fill the vacuum, that is there right now, with information from him."
