Podcasters Open Goal are reportedly targeting an ambitious takeover of Lowland League side Broomhill.
The Daily Mail state those behind smash-hit show have held talks and host Simon Ferry is a candidate to begin his first steps in management if a deal is struck.
It's understood Open Goal view Broomhill is the next step, which will allow their significant social media following inside the inner workings of a football team.
Ferry remains a player with Peterhead, however, the 34-year-old has been working on his coaching badges in recent years.
The former Celtic and Dundee midfielder is regularly joined by Paul Slane, Kevin Kyle and Andy Halliday on the show which has gained a cult following.
Sources close to talks insist no deal has been reached but talks remain ongoing as Open Goal eye something different.
The podcast and subsequent spin-off shows have become a staple among Scottish football supporters in recent years.
And their success has led to sold-out shows at the Hydro as well as a residency at SWG3 during last summer's Euro 2020.
