Simon Easterby names completely changed Emerging Ireland XV for Pumas clash

Emerging Ireland coach Simon Easterby has named an entirely different starting 15 for his side's match in Bloemfontein tomorrow.

The young squad kicked off their three-match tour of South Africa last week with a comprehensive 54-7 victory over Griquas on Friday. Five members of last week's side make the bench for tomorrow's game, with Easterby and his coaches eager to give every member of the squad some meaningful game time over the course of the tour.

Connacht star Cian Prendergast has been named as captain for tomorrow's game. The flanker takes the honour over Max Deegan, who will play no role in Wednesday's game. A member of the touring squad for the senior sides tour of New Zealand in the summer has been named to start at number 6, with John Hodnett and James Culhane joining him in the back row.

Tomorrow's game promises to be a much more difficult challenge than last week's drubbing. The Pumas are the current Currie Cup champions having beaten Ireland's previous opponents Griquas in the final back in June.

Tomorrow's game kicks off at 4pm Irish time and can be streamed on Irishrugby.ie.
