Simon Cowell has opened up about his plans to enjoy a ‘spontaneous’ wedding day with wife-to-be Lauren Silverman.
The 63-year-old businessman has been in a relationship with 45-year-old Lauren since 2013 and they announced their engagement at the beginning of this year.
Reports earlier this year suggested the couple - who share an eight-year-old son named Eric - were set to tie-the-knot in London over the summer, but this failed to materialise.
Now Simon has claimed he is planning to have an almost un-planned wedding instead - saying he will whisk Lauren down an aisle at the drop of the hat rather than plan an over-the-top ceremony.
He told The Sun: “I like to make everything spontaneous, and doing that will make it a lot more fun.
“I don’t think we’ll be getting married in Las Vegas, but whatever we do will definitely be fun.”
Simon had previously discussed his wedding plans - and explained why he had taken the reigns in terms of planning.
He said back in May: “I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen - there will be 600 people and it'll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party.”
He also said the exact plans would be a secret - even for his fiancée.
Simon explained: “No one knows when it's going to be - that'll be a surprise, even for Lauren.”
Speaking to ET Canada this May, Simon expressed his bafflement over reports that had suggested he would be walking down the aisle in June.
He said: “I keep reading that I am going to get married next week, next month. It's news to me. We haven't put a date on it,” adding that they “haven’t planned it yet”.
And back in April, Simon explained why he had decided to settle down with Lauren after nine years of dating.
He said: We were in the same house for over a year and I thought, ‘Well, actually, we get on really, really well’.
“And for Eric, as he gets older, he will be asked more and more about his parents, and I thought it was the right thing to do for him.
“I also just couldn’t see myself ever dating anyone again. The idea of going out on a first date now is too weird.
“My mum and dad had an amazing marriage and I used to call them best friends, and I think that’s a big part of it.”
Simon previously confessed he was planning the wedding himself, and ditching the advice of “ghastly wedding planners”.
No matter when the wedding does actually happen, some fans might question if Lauren will recognise the man walking down the aisle towards her.
Simon has made headlines throughout the year due to his seemingly changing face - with reports in August saying he was looking slimmer and different thanks to an overhaul of his diet.
