Simon Cowell is preparing to tie the knot with his fiancée Lauren Silverman next month, but the soon-to-be-newlyweds are keen on keeping details of their big day under wraps.
The 62-year-old popped the question to his American girlfriend - who he had been dating since 2013 - over Christmas last year, and the loved-up couple are now excitedly planning their nuptials.
It’s been reported Simon and Lauren will exchange vows in a intimate, star-studded ceremony in London in June, but the Britain's Got Talent star recently dismissed speculation surrounding his wedding.
Speaking to ET Canada, the music and TV mogul insisted they hadn’t even thought of a wedding date yet.
“I keep reading that I am going to get married next week, next month. It's news to me. We haven't put a date on it,” he said, adding that they “haven’t planned it yet”.
Despite claiming he and Lauren have yet to discuss their nuptials, Simon previously confessed he was planning the wedding himself, and ditching the advice of “ghastly wedding planners”.
“I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen - there will be 600 people and it'll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party,” he told The Sun earlier this year.
“But I don’t want to have one of these ghastly wedding planners and all the arguments that happen, and who you do invite and who you don’t invite. The whole thing just seems like too much hassle,” Simon added.
The couple recently suggested they had already tied the knot, teasing waiting photographers who asked them about their big day by replying: “We might be married already.”
His co-judge David Walliams suggested the wedding may be a small and intimate ceremony, but he revealed Lauren wants a lavish big day.
“He might keep it very small. I think she'll want a big wedding so I don't imagine it will be a small thing but obviously I want to be there and ruin the day for him,” the Little Britain funnyman joked on The One Show.
The guestlist is being kept under wraps so far, with Simon expected to invite his half-siblings Michael, Tony and June.
Simon and Lauren’s eight-year-old son Eric will also reportedly have a big role in the wedding, as well as Lauren’s son Adam, 16, from her previous marriage.
