Simon Cowell's proposal was due to 'life-changing accident', his brother says

Simon Cowell’s brother Tony believes their late mum Julie would have been delighted at the news her eldest son is set to marry at 62.

He said: “She would have been overjoyed. She wanted him to settle down.

“I picture her looking down, saying, ‘About time, Simon’.” Simon proposed to Lauren, 44, in Barbados on Christmas Eve.
