Simon Cowell has responded denying plastic surgery rumours after Ant and Dec recently joked he had a 'new face'. The music mogul has faced scrutiny in recent years over his appearance, and has previously been described as 'unrecognisable'.
During a recent appearance for Britain's Got Talent, hosts Ant and Dec couldn't resist making a cheeky jibe towards the TV judge.
Speaking to the audience, Dec said: “We have a new face joining the judging panel.” To which co-host Ant quipped in reply: “What? Simon has a new face?”
Speaking to The Mirror about the pairs cheeky jibe, Cowell laughed off the claims and denied going under the knife for any serious cosmetic work.
He said: "I think it's hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh. I haven't had a facelift or anything. I've had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh."
Simon previously revealed that his biggest critic is in fact himself and he vowed to never have Botox again.
He told The Sun: "There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all. Eric (his son) was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero."
He never admitted to going under the knife but said as far back as 2008 that having Botox was as commonplace as brushing his teeth. Simon explained to Glamour: “To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year – who cares?”
