World Cup-winning coach Noeline Taurua has been reappointed to lead the Silver Ferns after an open process.
Netball New Zealand took the unusual position of asking Taurua - who was made a dame after winning the 2019 World Cup - to apply for the position she has held for six years.
Taurua, 56, insisted she was happy and even "excited" to do so.
"The process itself challenged me to formulate a plan that was new, refreshing and different from previous years," she said.
"I have competed for the job. I have reset the dial. I am rejuvenated and can't wait to build upon the current foundation towards an era of Silver Ferns excellence."
Taurua has agreed to a two-year deal, meaning she is not locked in for the 2027 World Cup.
