It's been a long time coming, but the Silent Hill 2 remake is slowly emerging from the fog. Two years since publisher Konami announced that it would be remaking the most beloved entry in its flagship series – widely regarded as one of the best survival horror games ever – it feels great to say that we're now just weeks away from its release date.
Konami gave Bloober Team the go-ahead to spearhead the project, and what a return to form it looks like already. Our recent hands-on Silent Hill 2 preview gave us a closer look at the atmosphere, tension, and gritty third-person survival horror action we've been waiting for, making us even more psyched to get our hands on this sleepy town of nightmares. It's just as well, becayse this particular upcoming horror game is set to deliver some spooks just in time for Halloween. After all, what would autumn be without a Bubble Head Nurse or two to smack in the face with a wooden plank?
