Edinburgh has been issued an amber weather warning for 'extreme heat' as the UK tackles record breaking temperatures.
People are being urged to take care in the hot weather as the amber warning means vulnerable people could experience health issues due to the heat and infrastructure is likely to be impacted.
The Met Office warns: "The wider population are likely to experience some adverse health effects including sunburn or heat exhaustion (dehydration, nausea, fatigue) and other heat related illnesses."
