Manchester United fans have hailed Omonia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho for his epic performance against their team in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Nigerian is the Cypriot side’s second-choice goalkeeper but an injury to preferred shot-stopper Fabiano Freitas meant he started against the team he supports under the bright lights at Old Trafford.
He made a total of 12 saves throughout the match and many would have thought he would have been crestfallen when Scott McTominay netted the winner deep into stoppage time. But speaking after the game, a beaming Uzoho told BT Sport of his delight at playing against United.

"It's a dream come true for me,” he said. “I have dreamed to play here for a long, long time. When I saw the draw and I figured I would be playing at Old Trafford, I prayed to God that I got an opportunity to play."
He will never forget his third appearance of the season, and it seems as though he will remain in United fans’ minds for a little while. Reacting to his performance on Twitter, supporters praised the goalkeeper for his superb outing.
