The Arizona Cardinals knew it was never going to be easy in the NFC West, but this season was probably seen as one of their better opportunities to compete in the normally stacked division. They navigated a dramatic offseason to reach a massive contract extension with Kyler Murray, and they knew DeAndre Hopkins would be back from his PED suspension at Week 7.
It should be going better.
Yet, nothing has been easy for the Cardinals. And a frustrating 3-5 start to the season has looked especially dysfunctional from the outside with Murray repeatedly clashing with Kliff Kingsbury and teammates on the sidelines.
During Sunday’s game against the Seahawks, it was Hopkins’ turn to be on the receiving end of a Kyler Murray lecture.

Footage showed Murray and Hopkins having a decently heated discussion during the first half with Murray especially animated about something his star receiver did (or didn’t) do. Now, I will say that it did appear that Murray was trying to get on the same page with Hopkins rather than argue, but those public blowups have been far too common this season in Arizona.
Fans, of course, had thoughts on this latest scene involving Murray.
This was how Twitter reacted
Why Kyler always arguing with somebody? 😂😂 https://t.co/hRE5XbjMdN

Nothing is more embarrassing than watching the head coach try to talk to his players and get them back on track and have most of them not even pay attention to him. #FireKliff https://t.co/05NIBFkncb

Kyler really talking like this to the receiver who made the Cardinals think he was worth a 230 million dollar contract? https://t.co/yE3I91cH44

On the bright side, there’s plenty of time for the two to get back on the same page.
