Siddharth Jadhav opens up about the failure of 'Cirkus' at the box office; says audience expected a lot from Rohit Shetty this time

Siddharth Jadhav, who is quite active in both Hindi and Marathi film industry, recently opened up about the debacle of Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus' at the box office. According to him, the audience expected a lot from Rohit Shetty this time.

Speaking about the same, he told a news portal that they are in the entertainment business and their primary aim is to entertain the audience. However, according to him the audience expected a lot from the filmmaker. The actor also added that they will put their best foot forward the next time.

Siddharth has also previously worked with Shetty on films such as 'Golmaal', 'Golmaal Returns' and 'Simmba', among many others.

When asked about the south films performing well at the box office of late, Siddharth said that for him, Marathi cinema is above all. According to him, only a handful of movies from the South, like 'RRR', 'Kantara' and 'KGF: Chapter 2' worked at the box office.

'Cirkus' stars Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma in dual roles. The movie also featured Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and Mukesh Tiwari in key roles. The film also featured a special dance number by Deepika Padukone, titled 'Current Laga Re'.

Next, Siddharth will be seen in Priyadarshan Jadhav’s directorial film 'Jaago Mohan Pyare'.
