Pundit Danny Murphy has said Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper "cannot shy away from criticism" after the Reds sacked sporting director Filippo Giraldi.
Giraldi was relieved of his duties at the City Ground this week after overseeing the club's underwhelming January transfer window. He was only at the club for six months but has now been moved on by Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Murphy has given his thoughts on the situation, saying Giraldi "must have been bad" to get the boot at Forest so soon after arriving, while also talking about Cooper having played his part in the club being in the relegation zone.

“I think a lot depends on what the role of the sporting director is," Murphy told talkSPORT listeners. "It does seem a short turnaround. He must have been bad!
"They all need to take responsibility. Steve Cooper included, he can’t shy away from criticism. They signed too many players and everyone at the football club has to take responsibility."
