Shotzzy’s 655-kill tournament run powered OpTic Gaming’s EWC 2026 title defense

Optic OpTic Gaming EWC Esports World Cup Heretics 100 Thieves World Cup Team Falcons Team Heretics

Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro was the performer as OpTic Gaming successfully defended their Call of Duty crown at the Esports World Cup 2026, seeing off Team Heretics 5-3 in the Paris grand final. In so doing, the Green Wall became back-to-back EWC champions in Call of Duty, having previously won the title in Black Ops 6, and now adding Black Ops 7 to their collection.

Shotzzy was devastatingly consistent in his role as OpTic's primary slayer, ending the tournament with an impressive 655 kills across all series. His contributions were often the difference makers throughout the tournament, and the capacity crowd inside the arena were jubilant when his team clinched the trophy.
