May NY world sugar #11 (SBK25) Friday closed up +0.18 (+0.99%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK25) closed up +8.00 (+1.55%).

Sugar prices posted moderate gains on Friday, as a slump in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 4-month low sparked short covering in sugar futures.
