Shops evacuated in Manchester city centre after 'hundreds of teenagers seen fighting' outside Arndale

Shoppers were evacuated in the city centre on Sunday afternoon after it was reported that a fight broke out between 'hundreds of teenagers'.

There was a huge police presence sparked across the city centre, including at Exchange Square and New Cathedral Street.

And shops, including Marks and Spencer and Selfridges had to evacuate their customers due to the brawl, councillor Pat Karney has said.
