Shoppers to see change when they pay at self-scan checkouts at Tesco from Monday

Shoppers will see a change in self-service checkouts from Monday.

The latest change will be in place for three weeks from September 12 until October 12. Before people pay for their shopping, they will be asked if they would like to round up their total to the nearest pound, LeicestershireLive reports.

Should they say yes, the money will be used by Tesco to help support a fundraising campaign for three of the UK's leading health charities. The nationwide change will see shoppers able to donate to Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK, with Tesco hoping that the change will further enable the charities to continue their vital work to improve and save lives.
