Shoppers snap up TikTok famous Dyson Airwrap dupe reduced to £30 for Black Friday

For many beauty fans the Dyson Airwrap is top of wishlists this Christmas but, much like Apple, the iconic brand doesn't tend to discount its prices by much during Black Friday season.

Dyson has already released its Black Friday 2022 deals and the Airwrap is one of a host of products reduced in readiness for the shopping event this Friday, November 25, but depending on the model you go for the much-loved gadget still starts at £449.99. With this stunning limited edition blue version coming in at £499.99, you'd need to be top of Santa's good list to hope to get one of those for Christmas.

But savvy shoppers have been snapping up an Airwrap dupe made famous on TikTok, which has been reduced to £30 at both Amazon and Argos this Black Friday, making it less than half its usual price - and a fraction of the RRP of the Dyson.

The Revlon Pro Collection Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser has become a social media sensation, with more than 430 million views on TikTok of the #revlondryerbrush hashtag as fans of the product show off the sleek styles they've been able to fashion using the much-loved product.

Fans have praised the salon-style results they've been able to get at home, with several happy customers saying they've actually swapped their Dyson for the two-in-one styler. The product has almost 27,500 reviews on Amazon and an average rating of 4.5 stars out of five with shoppers describing the dryer as 'a game changer.'

One shopper, Nicola, even did a side by side comparison with the more expensive product and came away happier with the budget alternative. She said in her review: “This product is so good. I did half my head with this and half with the Dyson brush attachment. The Dyson didn’t straighten my hair as well and left it too dry. The Revlon left it much straighter and smooth. I asked family members to tell me which side was better and everyone picked the Revlon side.”

Another added: "I have used the Dyson styler a few times and never really liked it. I have thick hair and the Dyson was too lightweight to give me proper curls and bounce. This product however is a game changer and something I have been wanting for a long time. It's absolutely amazing."

Meanwhile, a third said having bought the Revlon she now didn't want the pricier brand: "I love this, it gives salon-look hair every time and is so easy to use and quick. I'd definitely recommend this hairdryer. I bought it as a temporary solution until the Dysons were back in stock but I'm so pleased with the results I don't want the Dyson." Shoppers who do have their heart set on a Dyson this Black Friday can pick one up for less than the usual RRP though.

Ebay is selling fully certified refurbished Airwraps complete with a year's guarantee for £198 less than the RRP - a hefty 44% discount on the price of new. The products are guaranteed to have been professionally inspected, refurbished and packaged by Dyson.
