TikTok can make a beauty product go viral overnight, but with the cost of living crisis tightening people’s budgets, not all of us will be able to splash out on the latest high-end products taking over our feeds.
Beauty retailer LookFantastic has noticed the demand for dupes is growing, particularly for brands like Charlotte Tilbury, with dupe searches up by 200 per cent, and ‘Dior makeup dupes’ up by 100 per cent.
For those looking for similar products that give the same bang without having to spend big bucks, the online beauty store has scoured the market to reveal the best affordable dupes of some of the most viral high-end products of 2022.

All of these viral high-end products would set you back £141, but by swapping to the affordable alternatives, you can save yourself £106.81 and get yourself a full face of makeup essentials for just £34.19
They’ve even found that in some cases, the affordable alternative is more popular than its expensive counterpart.
High-End Viral Product: Fenty Gloss, £18.00
Dupe: Maybelline Lifter Gloss Plumping Hydrating Lip Gloss: £8.99
The clear, shimmery and pout-perfecting look of the Fenty Gloss Bomb made it go TikTok viral but, costing £18.00 a pop and regularly being sold-out, beauty fans discovered the Maybelline Lifter Gloss to be the £10 cheaper alternative that lets you replicate the renowned Fenty pout.
The outcome is so similar, that the Maybelline gloss is now more popular than the Fenty Gloss on TikTok. Whilst the #FentyGlossBomb has 22.6 Million views, the #MaybellineLifterGloss storms ahead with a massive 48.3 Million views.

The Chanel cream bronzer has become a holy grail item for many, where on TikTok, the product has raked in a staggering 8.6 million views. But costing £43.00 a pot, LookFantastic reports that demand for ‘Chanel cream bronzer dupes’ has grown by 80 per cent over the past year as beauty fans look for cheaper alternatives.
Makeup Revolution’s Ultra Cream Bronzer, costing just £4.50 could be the answer to many people’s wishes. The ultra-cream, ultra-blendable and lightweight velvety formula gives the high-end product a run for its money and is making noise on TikTok as beauty fans make the comparisons themselves.
High-End Viral Product: REFY Brow Sculpt, £16.00

The REFY brow products have sent TikTok wild this year with their cult #RefyBrowSculpt product raking in a massive 481K views on the app. However, at £16 for a product that many use everyday, and is likely to need regular replacement, it’s at the pricier end of the spectrum.

With 210.7 million views, the Rare Beauty Blush is one of the most viral beauty products on TikTok this year. But priced at £19.00 and constantly being sold out in the UK, the cult blush is getting increasingly difficult to shop.
Revolution’s Superdewy Liquid Blush range however, is making noise as the £5.00 alternative that can inject complexions with a hint of radiance. Beauty fans on TikTok are obsessing over the water-light, highly pigmented formula that creates a natural finish on the skin.
