An oversized leather jacket has gone viral on social media after influencer Molly Mae wore it last year. The £79.00 jacket has been a sell-out success ever since, with shoppers even paying way over retail price on Vinted just to get hold of the item.
But fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing has saved the day as shoppers discover a dupe of the constantly out of stock Zara piece. And what’s more is that it’s £30 cheaper.
The brown distressed faux leather jacket comes in at £50, featuring a belted design and a relaxed fit and that distinctive distressed finish that the Zara piece is so popular for.

Fashion fans on TikTok have been sharing the PLT dupe discovery, with @hope.dgh saying, ‘’tired of waiting for the Zara leather jacket to come back in stock so you buy the PLT version’’. She added: ‘’obsessed with this jacket.’’
@vickioroskilly also raved about the alternative, saying: ‘’Girls run don’t walk to PLT’’, whilst @elyshiahockney shared how to ‘‘style the zara dupe jacket from PLT’’, with commenters saying ‘I’ve bought it too!’ and other’s asking ‘What’s the jacket called?!’’
The jacket adored by fashion fans has been selling fast as the dupe goes viral across TikTok, with very limited sizes left at present. However, another social media user,@marnidawes, has found a CREAM dupe of the Zara leather jacket.
The jacket is the cream distressed faux leather relaxed fit belted biker jacket, which costs £50.00. Or, if black is more your colour, the black faux leather relaxed fit belted biker jacket - also modelled by Molly Mae - may be the wardrobe staple you were looking for.
The PLT jackets are the cheapest alternatives we’ve managed to find online, with other retailers costing between £60 and £80. This ASOS number has the right distressed effect, but isn’t the same shape or cut as the Zara jacket, coming in more of a motocross style.
Urban Outfitters has a good match, but at £79.99, it’s the same price as Zara’s, so there’s no saving - however, River Island has a khaki jacket, albeit without a belt, that comes in at £60 which makes for a good match, too.
