Costco is selling a giant bar of Toblerone, but customers are shocked at how much it will set you back.
The enormous chocolate bar, which weighs 4.5kg and is approximately 80cm long, costs £49.99. The giant sweet treat is available in store now, according to dedicated foodie Facebook page NewFoodsUK.
Sharing the news online, the page said: “4.5KG Giant Toblerone spotted at Costco £49.99”. The post proved popular, racking up more than 4.2k likes and 15k comments,

However, despite enjoying the novelty, customers have been left outraged at the price. Beneath the Facebook post, one shopper said: “Why would anyone pay that?” and a second wrote: “Wow £50 for a chocolate bar what's it made out of gold”.
A third added: “Who the hell is going to buy a £50 toblerone?” and a fourth said: “It can stay in Costco for that price”. A fifth added: “Who in their right mind would buy this, wouldn’t even pay £5.”
One customer even took the time to work out if the £49.99 bar is worth the price, he said: “£50. before VAT... Cheaper to buy the normal bars until you get up to the same weight! Prob cost about £38 or something.” Another wrote: “It’s equivalent to 12.5 standard bars and in Asda they’re £3.50 which makes it’s cheaper to buy the individual bars.”
Others added: “No way would I pay that for chocolate!!!!” and “Who ever spends that much is absolutely outrageous”. Another said: "Yea just what we need. To spend a weeks worth of groceries on chocolate instead of actual food."
However, many shoppers loved the idea of the enormous bar, tagging friends and requesting it as a Christmas present or suggesting it would be perfect for family members.
One person said: “I’m so getting that” and a second wrote: “I need this in my life!”. A third added: “Was in Switzerland a few weeks ago and these cost over £100 so this price is a bargain.”
A fourth shopper said: “Ooh I am going to Costco on Saturday. Might have to get one of these bad boys !!!” Another added: “My idea of heaven!” The giant Toblerone bar can be bought at Costco for £49.99. You can find your nearest Costco here.
