Sky Mobile recently announced that customers can get their hands on a pay monthly laptop for as little as £11 as part of a new package. The global tech giant also claims to be the first provider to offer data rollover for connected laptops.
But while Sky is championing its new data rollover scheme for connected laptops, using a mobile data plan to connect to the internet is not an entirely new concept.
All of the ‘big 4’ UK carriers – EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three - offer laptop deals that come with their own monthly payment plans to cover the cost of the device and their own SIM plans and data allowances working on 4G networks across the UK.

For a small upfront fee and then an ongoing monthly payment, users can work remotely, check emails, join video calls, browse social media and even play games without the need for WiFi, broadband or tethering, allowing increased connectivity on the go.
Using a new generation of 4G-enabled laptops, browsing on your laptop away from home has just got easier and much more affordable too.
What Is A 4G Connected Laptop?
A 4G laptop allows users to connect to the internet even without WiFi. Using LTE technology, they work from an internal card, chipset or SIM that connects to a mobile network to access the internet.
Users will need to pay their mobile provider to gain access to 4G, and prices will vary depending on the amount of data required and the make and model of the laptop.
4G allows users to enjoy a more secure connection without the need for public WiFi while offering decent connection speeds anywhere within the range of mobile network coverage.
While Sky is offering some very tempting deals, EE, Vodafone, Three and O2 customers can also take advantage of 4G technology and high-end devices available on a variety of monthly payment plans.
Each monthly payment is made up of a device payment plan and an airtime plan, with most airtime plans lasting for 24 months. The cost of the laptop may take up to 48 months to pay off completely.
We’ve looked at what’s on offer this April and compiled a list of the best mobile laptop deals for customers in the UK.
