Shoppers can claim a free chocolate egg from any supermarket this week ahead of the Easter bank holiday weekend - so long as they keep their receipt. Customers at stores like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Morrisons will be able to choose an egg from any brand, including Cadbury and Nestle.
The deal comes from money-saving site TopCashback, in a bid to help cash-strapped families amid the cost of living crisis - but anyone can take advantage of the free egg offer.
The cashback site is offering all of its members a free Easter egg up to the value of £2 when they keep their receipt.

To claim the offer, members will need to spend a minimum of £2 on any Easter egg at the supermarket, then take a photo of their receipt showing the date, shop name and payment method.
New members of TopCashback will need to sign up to the website via this link, and upload a photo of the receipt before 11.59pm on April 10. Those who already have a TopCashback account can log in to their profile and then follow this link to claim the freebie.
Those who follow the rules will see the £2 cashback track in their account within 14 days. Customers can use receipts where the eggs cost more than £2, but will only receive a maximum of £2 back, and the purchase must be made in store, not online.
The offer comes as almost half (45 per cent) of Brits say that the cost-of-living crisis will have an impact on their Easter celebrations this year, according to new research from TopCashback.
The study of over 2,500 UK adults found that most Brits will be cutting down on non-essential niceties, like chocolate Easter eggs.
In fact, the nation is set to spend £78m less on chocolate eggs this year compared to Easter 2022. Unsurprisingly, a quarter of those (24 per cent) who don’t plan to buy them at all, say it’s because they can’t afford to.
Abigail Yearley, spokesperson for TopCashback, said: "As the UK's leading cashback site we are always looking for ways to help our members enjoy moments that matter, for less.
"Chocolate eggs have long been an Easter staple, so we wanted to make sure that no family has to miss out because of the current financial situation.
"Whether you are already a member of TopCashback or just looking to join, we hope you make the most of this offer and enjoy a sweet treat on us."
The offer runs from 9am Tuesday, April 4 until 11:59pm Monday, April 10. You can find out more about the deal here.
