The incident involved a man carrying a rifle and wearing tactical gear, which led to a fast response from law enforcement.
According to TMZ, the deadly gunfight took place at the entrance of a U.S. Border Patrol building in McAllen, a city close to the U.S.-Mexico border. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the event happened around 6:00 AM local time. The attacker, later identified as Ryan Louis Mosqueda, a 27-year-old man from Michigan, started shooting at the facility, firing many dozens of rounds toward the building and the agents inside.
