A tragic incident unfolded at Joel Osteen's megachurch near Houston, Texas, as a woman entered the premises with her 7-year-old son and an AR-15 rifle. The shooter, identified as 36-year-old Genesee Moreno, opened fire minutes before a scheduled Spanish-language service was set to begin.
Gunshots rang out, causing panic and fear among the congregation. Off-duty police officers, who were working as security at the church, engaged in a gun battle with Moreno, bravely facing rifle fire at close range. The intense exchange lasted several minutes before the shooter was eventually subdued. Sadly, during the altercation, Moreno's 7-year-old son was also injured and is currently in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.
