US TV producer Shonda Rhimes has responded to her Netflix show Bridgerton being called “woke” and said she does not read opinions online.

Rhimes, 55, executive-produced the Regency-style show, created the long running series Grey’s Anatomy, and is chief executive of global media company Shondaland.
