If it seems as if Shohei Ohtani does something every day that leaves fans speechless, it’s probably because, well, he pretty much does.
The latest example of this came in Sunday afternoon’s Blue Jays-Angels game in Anaheim, Calif., when he crushed one of the most ridiculous home runs of his major league career.
Ohtani, who is 1-0 on the mound so far this year with 18 strikeouts, swung at a pitch that clearly was a ball inside but somehow blasted over the wall in the left-center field.
This is just something a left-handed hitter shouldn’t be able to do, but Ohtani is not your average left-handed hitter:
This is insane.

This was a ball IN off the plate. Shohei Ohtani hit it out to LEFT CENTER FIELD 🤯

That’s just silly. I also love the Angels’ new home run hat that Ohtani put on after the dinger.

The way he hits balls off the plate inside, out the park, blows my mind. https://t.co/xPevP5aYNx
