Shiho Kuwaki won the 2026 AIG Women's Open in a playoff against Esther Henseleit to claim her maiden Major title at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Kuwaki had earlier set the clubhouse target on five-under following a one-under closing round and appeared destined to clinch the season's final Major in regulation, only for her German rival to hole a monster putt on the 18th and force extra holes.
