Sheridan Smith has stripped off to announce her latest role after making a big return to the spotlight. The TV and theatre actress has kept somewhat of a low profile over the last year but did put on a glam and smiley display as she attended the premiere of one of her latest film roles in The Railway Children over the summer.
Prior to then, Sheridan hadn't been seen after reports her jewellery had been stolen by a gang of thieves while on the set of one of her latest projects. And since, the West End star has rarely been seen - until now.
Sheridan has been out and about promoting her new TV series, Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything. The 41-year-old plays vibrant Mancunian Rosie in the Sky Comedy which was released on Wednesday (December 7). However Rosie, an accountant, is out of control, with her addictions to alcohol, recreational drugs and sex destroying her health, relationships and career.

But her return to the small screen isn't all Sheridan has to be excited about as she's also heading back on stage. It was revealed earlier this week that the mum-of-one will be returning to London's West End in the late winter/early spring of 2023 in a new production of Shirley Valentine.
Sheridan will star in a solo show, which tells the tale of a woman who dreams of escaping her family home, from February 17 for 12 weeks at the Duke of York's Theatre. And the award-winner looked sensational as posed topless in very glamorous snap for the big reveal of her latest role.
With her blonde locks tied into a bun on top of her head with a few strands left framing her face and appearing to blow in the wind, Sheridan could be seen topless while in clear blue water. "Very very excited to be returning to the west end in this wonderful play," she typed with the moving image announcing her appearance in Shirley Valentine.
Blue singer and theatre star Duncan James was among the first to respond, writing: "Omg need to see this." Steps star Ian 'H' Watkins simply replied: "PERFECT!!!!!" Former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Stacey Forsey commented: "Ahhh brilliant…Can’t wait to see this." Fellow actress Claire Sweeney added: "You will be fabulous!!!"
Fans were also soon sharing their excitement at Sheridan's news. @sampaj42 said: "Oh my goodness I need to see this." @pam19x wrote: "Omg way I so can’t wait honey you're going to be amazing." @wicked_worldwide replied: "How absolutely brilliant!
