January isn't over yet, but I've already set my sights on summer – and specifically hitting the coast. While I can't exactly command the weather, I can certainly channel the sunshine, and I'm bringing coastal chic into my home using gorgeous tableware from the Threshold collection at Target, designed by Studio McGee.
If, like me, you're keen to shake off the winter gloom, a single glance at Shea McGee's spring 2026 Target collection will transport you to a sun-soaked island. It might be a spring drop, but this collection sidesteps traditional florals and pastel hues to create a fresh, breezy, summertime feel. Shell motifs, woven textures, and fresh cream hues all come together to channel a coastal-inspired aesthetic – no matter how chilly the temperature is outside right now.
In the video, Shea takes us to a heavenly outdoor seating area brimming with coastal decor ideas. Shades of cream and pale blue abound, along with soft pearlescent accents (the gently luminous Capiz tray is one of my favorite pieces) and pops of silver.
On the table, cream stoneware dinner plates are finished with blue nautical motifs and paired with coral ceramic vases. Shea's shell serveware isn't available online just yet, but you can get the look using McGee & Co's shell-shaped stoneware dish – or opt for vintage-style pieces like the McGee &Co clamshell serving dish if you fancy leaning into the glamorous 'Hollywood cottage' aesthetic, which is one of Shea's top design trends for 2026.

Shea is renowned for her inviting neutral schemes and timeless tablescapes, and Threshold's new collection with Target provides everything you need to emulate her signature style. These pieces bring an air of refined elegance to the coastal aesthetic, creating schemes that feel classic and yet fresh.
Shea proves that even the simplest tablescapes can be striking, and her blend of textural details, sculptural silhouettes and organic materials has certainly earned a spot on my spring hosting mood board. In fact, I'm bookmarking all of Shea's tips on coastal decor – and picking up plenty of pieces from the new Threshold collection to get the look, of course.

These plates have a unique finish that mimics the woven textures of rattan and bamboo. The result is a striking set of dinnerware, which pairs perfectly with earthy decor pieces and organic table linens.

Bring the lustre of pearls to your table with this stunning tray. I'd style it with a few pillar candles and bud vases of pale blue flowers to create a contemporary coastal centerpiece.

No coastal scheme is complete without some coral, and this ceramic vase is the eco-friendly version of the real thing. Its sculptural silhouette makes a real statement, though the soft cream hue still makes it wonderfully versatile.

The sweeping curves and polished porcelain finish of this jug really brings to mind sun-kissed coastal dining; if I weren't using it for drinks, I would style it with vibrant flower arrangements for a pop of color.

The scalloped decor trend is showing no signs of disappearing this year, and I think this table runner is utterly timeless. The navy trim will tie together any coastal color scheme with ease.

Designed in the same style as the cream stoneware dinner plates, this handsome bowl is a salad serving essential – though it would look just as gorgeous on a mantel or shelf.
