Shea McGee Is Bringing Back Whimsical Coastal Style for 2026 – and Her Spring Target Collection Is the Perfect Place to Shop the Trend

Designer shea mcgee sat on a light oak four poster bed styled for fall.

When I spoke to designers about how they rethink their homes after Christmas, it became clear that there is one thing they all agree on: they start looking forward to spring. So while it may still feel like we are coming out of a post-Christmas fog, the timing really couldn't be better for Shea McGee's new collection at Target.

The new pieces certainly create that fresh spring feeling, leaning decidedly coastal with a touch of whimsy through colorful florals and classic ginghams. Some of the pieces read a little bolder than we are used to from the designer known for warm neutrals, but it's a welcome change for the season ahead.

The spring collection features everything from larger furniture items like the Gingham Skirted Ottoman to smaller decorative pieces in the form of Ruffle Edge Throw Pillows and a charming Shell Table Lamp, just to name a few.

There are still plenty of nods to Shea's classic style, with natural materials and textures introduced through the Woven Scalloped Basket and beautifully designed photo frames, as well as a few wrought iron pieces that add a striking contrast to the softer textures.

It's the perfect collection to transition from the deeper tones and thicker fabrics of winter into the lighter, brighter spirit of spring. Here are a few of our favorite pieces we're adding to cart immediately.

The entire collection drops today, so take a look and check out with your favorites – the most coveted pieces always sell out super quick. Plus, these pieces will help to inspire your home's spring colors for the season.
