Not every high street has a cafe owned and run by an England football legend, Euros winner, and now Queen of the Jungle. But in Northenden, south Manchester, staff and customers have become used to sharing their local friendly face with the hearts of the nation - because their boss just can't stop winning.
BOXX2BOXX Coffee, near Wythenshawe, is owned by ex-Lioness Jill Scott, along with her partner Shelly. Customers here say the pair are seen as community figures - and the cafe's popularity is clear, as people are crammed in every nook and cranny. Well, who wouldn't want some of whatever is in the water here?
Manager Lois Ryan is gearing up for a busy first day of business since Jill Scott was crowned Queen of the Jungle, and the topic wasn't far from anybody's lips. "She did fantastic. She was just herself, and she's naturally funny," neighbour and regular Mikaela McKie. "Everyone is genuinely happy for her."
Mikaela says everybody at the cafe has been 'rooting' for Jill during her stint in the jungle - something that becomes clear as we speak to other customers. Eddie, another regular, told the M.E.N he has been cheering her on from afar, despite his irregular shifts at the hospital.
"I've been watching whenever I can," he said. "Everyone has been cheering her on. They're nice people, Jill and Shelly."
In between making coffees and serving sweet treats, Lois told us it had been 'weird' but 'exciting' seeing her boss on the famous TV show. "It was absolutely heaving in here over the weekend, but that's what we expected," she said.
"Everyone was so excited - it was really nice. Everyone is just really happy for Jill. A lot of the regulars in here know her, and so they were all really excited."
"She's a natural at it!," Mikaela added. "Her and Shelly are a big part of the community!" But she says its not just locals who flock to the cafe. "People come from all over the UK - even the world - to be here," she said.
One such couple were visiting this morning. Perched in the window, football fans Anastasia and Peter Whitehead had come from Gloucester to soak in the atmosphere of a cafe full of the spirit of a Lionesses legend.
"It was just coincidental that our trip coincided with Jill winning I'm a Celebrity!," Peter said. "But as soon as it was announced, I knew straight away that she was going to win."
The pair said they have got 'more and more' into women's football since the Euros over the summer, and had hoped to see Jill's Euros medal at the cafe - "But fair enough she wants to keep it at home!," Anastasia added.
But despite all her success, those who know her insist that she hasn't changed. "She'll be straight back to work once she gets home," Lois told the M.E.N.
"She's salt of the earth," Mikaela agreed. "I've loved watching her, but I'll be happy to see her come home."
