Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's '80s Living Room Was a Surprisingly Sweet Celebration of Arts and Crafts Style – and the Look Is Back for 2026

A splitscreen image with sharon osbourne in her buckinghamshire living room on the left and a picture of sharon and ozzy osbourne on the right.

Though you might expect that the Prince of Darkness's home would be bathed in the aesthetics of heavy metal, the reality couldn't be more different. An archival image from 1989 of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's living room shows that their space was, in fact, a celebration of the Arts and Crafts style.

The photograph, taken in the couple's Amersham, Buckinghamshire house, shows Sharon posed in a room replete with well-crafted wooden furniture, ceramic knick-knacks, and heritage-patterned drapes.

One of the most striking furnishings is Sharon's spool chair, which perfectly mirrors the craftsmanship of her Georgian desk and wall panels. Above the desk, white floral curtains are arranged in a scalloped style.

To the right of the room, a set of circular shelves houses dozens of ceramic knick-knacks (similar to these pretty eggs from Anthropologie I've been obsessed with lately). Combined with pink walls and an emerald green carpet, the overall effect is sweet and inviting.

If you're thinking that Ozzy and Sharon's '80s space mirrors the interiors you're seeing on social media, you're not crazy; Arts and Crafts style is experiencing a major revival this year. In that vein, here's a peek inside the Osbourne home for inspiration, my edit of products to get the look, and expert commentary on why Arts & Crafts is back (and how to recreate it).

Recreate Sharon and Ozzy's Look at Home

The shift towards this modern artisan style is tied up with the larger move towards more textural, inviting, and personal interiors in general. Part of what works about the look is its inherent eclecticism, while prioritizing craft and high-quality materials.

'2026 will see homes infused with individuality and joy,' explains Josh Branigan, a Furniture and Home Interiors Expert at Cuckooland.

'After years of minimalism, personal expression takes centre stage; interiors that reflect who we are, not just how we live. Expect a mix of eras, textures, and tones: vintage finds beside sleek modern forms, colour pops that surprise, and statement furniture, like a vibrant accent chair, that feels functional and full of character.'

No matter the style of your home, tapping into the Arts and Crafts interior design trend is a simple matter of prioritizing warmth. Josh advises: 'This trend embraces playfulness and storytelling, think curved velvet armchairs in jewel hues, patterned wallpapers that spark conversation, and sculptural pieces that double as art.'

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's surprisingly sweet living room is a masterclass in creating spaces that reverberate with the energy of the people who live in the home. By tapping into the warmth and heritage of Arts and Crafts style, they created a home that was truly special.
