Shannon Sharpe wants to know how Joe Burrow can get healthier mid-season

The whole world now awaits the next update on Joe Burrow’s injury as the Cincinnati Bengals look to prep for Week 3.

Burrow, who re-aggravated his calf injury during a Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, remains a question mark until later in the week.

For now, names like Shannon Sharpe on “First Take” have been saying some uncomfortable things that Bengals fans won’t want to hear, such as this line: “How many guys in your career have you ever heard of getting healthier during the football season?”

And that’s one of the big debates when weighing the decision to shut Joe Burrow down with something like injured reserve (to return at a later date).

If Burrow doesn’t take time off, how can he fully heal while juggling practices and live games?

For outsiders, it’s hard to get a gauge on just how serious this latest “tweak” is for Burrow’s injured calf. But the longer it carries on, the more it should concern fans that this could be a season-long issue.
