Shannon Sharpe doesn’t appear to have any faith in his co-host’s ability in the run game. While appearing on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the former tight end was asked if he thought Skip Bayless could gain one yard on an NFL play and completely scoffed at the idea, to put it mildly.
The Kelces posed the question in a previous episode when they asked each other if an average person could get a one-yard gain in an NFL matchup. They debated it for a while, but Sharpe had no hesitation when asked about Bayless and thinks that the on air personality’s lack of popularity in locker rooms would also play a role.
“No,” Sharpe said when asked if Bayless could rush for one yard in the NFL. “I’m not saying because he’s average. Ain’t no way they’re gonna let him get a yard.”
Could Skip Bayless get a single yard in the NFL? 💀😂

The Kelce brothers found the answer hilarious and couldn’t help but laugh at Sharpe’s candor when asked to evaluate his Undisputed partner. Sharpe went on to explain the defense would have it out for Bayless and even Bayless’s teammates wouldn’t want to see him get a gain.
“They’re gonna go out of their way,” Sharpe continued. “And I’m not so sure the offensive line is going to block for him.”
