Doherty recalled acquiring a house in Malibu around the age of 21 or 22. She humorously mentioned a financial hiccup with a leased-purchased property that she couldn't afford, leading to an amusing comparison with her co-star's Burbank residence.
After realizing the challenging commute to the 90210 set from her Malibu home, Doherty gave the property to her parents and relocated to Los Angeles for filming. Subsequently, during her time on Charmed, she opted for renting over owning, citing a lack of settlement as the reason.
