Shane Lowry took to Twitter to show off his threads ahead of the first round of the US Open - and Boston Celtics fans will be impressed by the Clara man's choice.
Posting a tweet to his official Twitter page, the photo displayed a crisp white polo shirt with a large Boston Celtics logo emblazoned on the back.
It is a savvy move from the Co. Offaly golfer given that this weekend's US Open will take place at The Country Club at Brookline, a course not too far outside of Boston, Massachussets.
The Celtics' official logo since the 1960's has been a depiction of a leprechaun spinning a basketball, but shamrocks also hold a close association with the NBA team.
The emblem adorning Lowry's shirt is the Celtics' secondary logo, which is used at present on player and fan apparel.
Captioning the post, Lowry said: "All set for tomorrow."
Alongside the US Open, there are other major sporting matters to be settled in the States this week, and the NBA Finals - involving the Celtics - continue on Thursday night.
The Celtics face a win-or-go-home game against the Golden State Warriors who, with their 3-2 series lead, are looking for just one more win which would secure them a fourth title in eight years.
There is encouragement for Boston, however, in that they have won three games when facing eliminiation in this year's playoffs.
They will be looking to win and force a first Finals Game 7 since 2016.
That would take place on Sunday evening, by which time Lowry's own fate will have been sealed.
