Per the Athletic’s Shams Charania, former Boston Celtics big man Tacko Fall is set to return to the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) after an unsuccessful offseason trying to get back into the NBA. Fall, who played in China during the 2022-23 season, has signed a deal with the Nanjing Monkey Kings. He previously played in the CBA for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers on a one-year contract.
After a solid college career at the University of Central Florida, Fall went unselected in the 2019 NBA draft but signed with the Celtics as a two way player after a strong showing that offseason in the ball club’s training camp.
The Senegalese center spent a pair of seasons with Boston as a two way player before leaving the team to join the Cleveland Cavaliers in a similar role for the 2021-22 season.

From there, he would join the CBA with Xinjiang, where he has carved out a niche for himself in the league he has yet to at the NBA level.
