AHMEDABAD: Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond praised the bowling of Gujarat Titans in the first six overs, which effectively ended the chances of the five-time champions chasing down 208 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday night. Batting first, the Titans made 207/5 before hostile, aggressive bowling by the hosts limited the visitors to 152/9.
"They just executed things very well. Towards the back end of our innings, we started to get a little flourish, a partnership. But we were out of the game by then. From our perspective, we got an exhibition on how to bowl. The first 10 overs by Gujarat, how they went about their business. We haven't been able to put 10 overs together like that. Even though we have been good in our first 10, our last six-seven have been poor in the last couple of games," reflected Bond at the post-match press conference.
