Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has come under plenty of criticism for his performance against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday evening. The England international could have done more to prevent the opener before he was at fault for the second in a key Europa League clash.
The Gunners had to avoid defeat to ensure top spot in Group A was theirs, though a difficult display saw them let off the hook from a few first-half goals being disallowed. The second half didn't see any improvement from the side, who were then moved around until an opening found Joey Veerman in the box to finish off.
Moments later that lead was doubled as Ramsdale came out to punch the ball from a corner but failed to do so as Luuk de Jong headed home. It summed up a difficult night for the shot-stopper in what is just his first ever appearance in a European club competition.

It may not do his chances in the England squad much help either as he looks to stake a claim to the No.1 shirt in the international team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. It led to plenty of criticism from Arsenal supporters on social media, who went to fume the display.
@_Zeets: "Aaron Ramsdale swung at that ball like he was afraid it would swing back."
@StonedBatxx: "Ramsdale is so overrated it’s crazy."
@Cr8tivemo: "truth is, Leno was keeping Ramsdale on his toes, he's too comfortable nowadays."
@kehoe21: "If Matt Turner was in goal it would be 0-0."
@livzledgee: "We need to start having uncomfortable conversations about these mistakes Ramsdale makes."
@liamjpn: "Sorry but Ramsdale should not be our long term first choice and that's the truth. Shambles this has been tonight!"
