The Oklahoma City Thunder could enter Monday’s road game against the Los Angeles Lakers without their MVP candidate. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was added to their injury report with a right knee sprain and is officially designated as questionable for the contest.
Gilgeous-Alexander’s status will become clearer closer to the 9:30 p.m. CT tip, but OKC could face being without its All-NBA player for just the second time this season.
The Thunder own a 27-11 record and sit in a tie with the Minnesota Timberwolves for first place in the Western Conference standings.
In 37 games, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.5 points on 55.8% shooting, 6.4 assists and 5.9 rebounds. In OKC’s win against the Orlando Magic, he totaled 37 points on 13-of-20 shooting, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.
