The SFA are reportedly preparing to launch an investigation into the post-match scenes following Celtic women's draw with Rangers in the SWPL1.
Despite a thrilling derby encounter at Broadwood Stadium, with Celtic rescuing a point through a 99th-minute leveller from Caitlin Hayes after Brogan Hay's first-half strike had looked to be enough for Malky Thomson's side, the post match conversation has been dominated by the flashpoint involved Rangers women's coach Craig McPherson. Rangers assistant McPherson appeared to headbutt Parkhead boss Fran Alonso from behind, with the Celtic gaffer stating he had been called 'a little rat" following the game.
Celtic have already spoken out over the incidents following the game branding it "a hugely concerning incident" that fell "well below any acceptable standard", while Police Scotland have also confirmed they are looking into the scenes. The Daily Mail claim that Hampden chiefs are awaiting the referee's report and the compliance officer will look into the flashpoint but are set to investigate the scenes.
