A developing severe weather outbreak is expected to persist as thunderstorms march eastward, taking aim at areas from southeastern Virginia to northern Florida Wednesday. Some of the most intense thunderstorms will trigger damaging winds and could spawn a tornado, AccuWeather meteorologists warn.
“The storm system from Tuesday to Wednesday will pack a significant amount of wind energy,” AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said.
