The Indianapolis Colts held their final practice on Friday ahead of their Week 5 matchup with the Jaguars, and several key starters were still unable to practice due to injuries.
#Colts C Ryan Kelly (neck), CB Kenny Moore II (hip) and RT Braden Smith (knee) aren’t practicing today.
No sight of RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) or DE Kwity Paye (quad) at practice, either.

For the portion of practice that the media members were able to attend, not seen on the practice field were Kenny Moore, Kwity Paye, Jonathan Taylor, Braden Smith, nor Ryan Kelly.
The Colts final injury report of the week with designations will be released on Friday afternoon.
None of Moore, Paye, Kelly or Taylor have practiced at all this week, which doesn’t mean they can’t play on Sunday, but typically that’s not a great sign for a player’s availability.
Moore and Paye haven’t practiced at all over the last two weeks after both players exited the Colts Week 3 matchup against the Chicago Bears in the fourth quarter. Paye is dealing with a quad injury and Moore a hip injury.
Both position groups are very thin right now. Along with Moore and Paye potentially missing the upcoming game, the Colts currently have JuJu Brents and Tyquan Lewis on injured reserve as well.
Taylor is still working through an ankle sprain he sustained against the Steelers. The good news is that Taylor says the injury isn’t as severe as the sprain he worked through in 2022, however, as he discussed at his locker on Thursday, there is still work to be done if he’s going to be available on Sunday.
Kelly has been out with a neck injury since last Thursday. In his place in this most recent game was rookie Tanor Bortolini, who held his own against a very good Steelers’ interior defensive line.
Smith, meanwhile, was out on Wednesday, practiced Thursday, and then out again on Friday. This is the same pattern we saw last week and he ended up playing in Week 4. Perhaps this is his new practice regimen for the time being in order to make sure his knee stays fresh for Sundays.
Also not practicing Friday was Grover Stewart. For more on that, click here.
